The Financial Services Commission (the “Commission”) is an integrated regulatory body established under the Financial Services Commission Act 2010-21. The Commission is responsible for the supervision and regulation of non-banking financial services and institutions in Barbados.
Pursuant to sections 6(1)(b)(iii) and (viii) of the Data Protection Act, 2019-29, the Commission, as a public authority, is authorised to collect, store, and process personal data where necessary for the performance of its statutory functions and compliance with its legal obligations.
